Reception Class are the first group to take part in Forest Schools at Cockfield Primary School. Each Wednesday the children spend time in the woodland area with Mrs Hargraves and Mrs Watson enjoying activities to develop their craft skills and imagination. Sessions also help to develop children’s confidence and self-esteem. Here are some photos from our first session where we explored the camp, made picture frames, created clay faces on the trees and enjoyed a well-earned snack time around the fire circle!

Each child in our school has worked with Mrs Hargraves over the past few weeks to create a poppy from a recycled plastic bottle. Our poppy display is now outside on the trees at the front of the school. They are to commemorate 100 years since the Armistice day and the end of World War 1.

Royal Wedding Buffet Lunch
The Queen’s granddaughter Princess Eugenie and her long-term boyfriend Jack Brooksbank will marry on Friday 12th October in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. We all celebrated this up-coming event by having a Royal Wedding Buffet at School on Wednesday 10th October. We wish them good luck as they start their journey as husband and wife.
