Trip to the Pantomime
This morning I received advice and information from the local authority and Public Health England
regarding the current situation in schools across our county which recommended putting in some
additional measures in order to keep our school community safe. One of these measures is to strongly
consider cancelling school trips and any indoor mixing in large groups. This means that sadly we will
have to cancel our trip to the theatre next Thursday. We will be fully refunded by the theatre and will
arrange refunds for those who have paid as soon as the funds come through. We are really disappointed
that this is the case and we will make sure that next Thursday is a fun day in school, the buffet lunch will go ahead and we’ll start talking to the children about what they would like to do instead and arrange
some special activities for them. I can only apologise for having to make this decision, it hasn’t been an
easy one and I know the children will be disappointed but we’ll certainly make sure they have a fantastic day in school. Christmas definitely isn’t cancelled at Cockfield Primary it will just be a bit different again this year.
