After taking further advice and following careful consideration, we have decided against having a live audience in school for our Christmas Performances this year. We know how disappointing this will be for the children and parents but with the current uncertainty that we have around COVID and the increase in cases in school recently, we just don’t feel we can take the risk. The performances will be recorded and will be shared via our youtube channel before the end of term. We had hoped to get to the end of term without any further disruption but sadly the virus has caught up with us. We are hoping to have everyone back in school next week and to get things back to normal. We are currently reviewing our risk assessment around the Christingle in church and it is likely that this will just be for the children so that they can still have the experience of the Christingle service in church and we can operate in our COVID bubbles.
Sorry for the inconvenience, as a parent myself I know how difficult it is to take time off work and I can only apologise for the short notice. Details of how to view the performances will be published via Classdojo, Tapestry and Facebook and will also be on the school website.
Here’s hoping for some normality very soon and rest assured the children will still have lot of fun in school this Christmas.
Thank you for your help and support,
Mrs Costello
