Before the Summer holidays we planted vegetables in our allotment. Now it is harvest time we have been back out to collect up our produce. We collected broad beans, potatoes and leeks and prepared them to make yummy soup. As well as learning about how things grow, we have also learnt about how to work safely and cleanly in the kitchen and the importance of having a healthy, balanced diet. We also learnt about how to write instructional texts by writing out soup recipes. Here are some of the photographs of our work.

Wow isn’t our allotment growing fabulously. We have been tendering and caring for all our produce since they were little seeds and seedlings. Thank you Mr Blackett for sharing your expert knowledge with us all, you have helped us grow a bumper crop. We can’t wait for the harvest in Autumn!
