World Book Day will be different this year as many of us will not be in school! However, it can still go ahead!
We have lots of fun and exciting activities planned for the day, so feel free to join in with all the fun!
Activities will include:
A Teams meeting for each class, where children can dress up as their favourite book character, or wear their pyjamas, or simply be in their usual clothes. Children can bring along their favourite book to talk about. Teachers may set an activity in the days before the meeting happens.
The Masked Reader – can you work out which reader is which teacher? Can you put the story in the correct order? There may be a prize for the winner….
Get Caught Reading – Take a photo of yourself reading in the most unusual place possible and upload your photographs for us to see. Remember not to go to far from home, as Lockdown restrictions still apply.
Make a book in a box competition. Use a shoe box and similar to create scene from your favourite book! Add your characters and make your book in a box come to life! Parents – feel free to enter your own box!
Draw with Rob – an online drawing session with illustrator Rob Biddulph
Lots of other activities set by teachers for each class.
We hope you join in the fun!
